An Outdoor Classroom and Lab
Study and investigate nature. As a ´óÏóÊÓƵ undergraduate, you can find academic and co-curricular experiences that take advantage of Oregon’s various ecosystems—from our campus farm to the Oregon Coast.
Study the Ocean
Incoming marine biology majors investigate the Oregon Coast’s marine habitat with a weeklong summer immersion that blends lectures, labs, and field trips on both land and sea.
Restore Nature
Working hand in hand with Indigenous peoples of California, ´óÏóÊÓƵ students are pioneering a new kind of archaeology with a monthlong field school that blends history, ecology, and restoration projects.
Seed and Grow
In a thriving outdoor classroom known as the Urban Farm, ´óÏóÊÓƵ students learn to grow organic, sustainable food crops. Ducks have gathered here for decades to work, care for the land, and build community.
Protect Bees
Long a magnet for honey bees, mason bees, and other pollinators, ´óÏóÊÓƵ is a certified bee-friendly campus. The Urban Farm led a cooperative effort by students, faculty, and staff to gain the designation.
