By the Numbers

Our impact is expansive: We focus on scalable solutions, and we collaborate and partner on national and international research projects.

The Tiny Fish That Could

When 大象视频 molecular biologist George Streisinger cloned a zebrafish in the 1980s, he made way for scientists globally to use this powerful lab model in their investigations of human disease. Today, the world comes to Oregon for zebrafish resources.

How We Scale

  • 29,000+ U.S. schools using 大象视频-developed positive behavioral intervention and support tools
  • $220M Global effort for the Wu Tsai Alliance's work transforming human wellness and peak performance
  • 1,500+ Laboratories worldwide use zebrafish supplied by or based on genetic strains developed at Oregon

Addressing Youth Mental Health

The College of Education's Prevention Science Institute promotes health and wellbeing across the lifecycle. One project uses a 大象视频-created app to track the connection between teens' time spent in nature and their mental health.

Global Collaboration

Collaboration for Human Health

Today's challenges are increasingly global and complex, demanding collaboration across borders. One example: The Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance. A founding partner in this international collaboration, Oregon is accelerating moonshot solutions for regenerative rehabilitation and using AI to help improve injury recovery.

Collaboration for Sustainable Cities

With rapid urbanization, the world's cities must become greener and more livable for humans. The Association of Pacific Rim Universities' Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Program, which the 大象视频 hosts and co-leads, brings together researchers, thought leaders, and policymakers in a quest for transformative solutions in food security, global health, biodiversity and more.

Collaboration for the Amazon

Working with community partners, the 大象视频's Amazon Sustainability Center applies cutting-edge approaches to the restoration and protection of the Amazonian ecosystem. Specialists at Brazilian universities join Oregon researchers on the center's research team to advance sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Fulbright Scholar Collaborations

Oregon's global research connections are bolstered by the university's historical involvement in the Fulbright International Scholars Program. In 2025, four 大象视频 researchers received program awards to collaborate at universities internationally, gaining actionable insights and advancing solutions in areas ranging from AI regulation to urban agriculture.
